Parents/Carers Coffee Mornings, Events and Workshops
Our Beech Hill coffee mornings as well as other parent events and workshops are a great way to meet other parents and carers, engage with members of the school community and gain more information about specific topics as well as celebrate special events.
Feedback from those who have attended our coffee mornings, events and workshops has been very positive and we are pleased that the numbers who attend continue to grow. Music for the Many – Songs from Home Project – January 2024
We held the second of our Songs from Home sessions with Daniel and Dickon from Music for the Many on 27th January. It was another lovely opportunity to share songs, music and dance from our diverse cultural heritages. Thank you to all those who attended. The next session will be on Monday 10th February 9-10am – please sign up on the school booking system if you would like to attend.
Year 3 Parent Lunch – January 2025
A huge thank you to all the year 3 parents who came into school to have lunch with their child. It was such a wonderful experience for the children to spend the time with their families in school and to quiz them on our sticky knowledge. We are looking forward to seeing our year 4 children and their families at our next parent lunch in February.
Phonics Workshop – January 2025
It was lovely having parents and their children in school for an informative phonics workshop. The children enjoyed playing a range of phonics activities alongside their parents and showing them how we use the RWI scheme to support their reading. We are passionate about ensuring every child learns to read at Beech Hill so please get in touch with your teacher if you would like to know how you can support your child at home or if you have any questions. Festive Coffee Morning – December 2024
Thank you to all our families that joined us at our Festive Coffee Morning. It was a lovely morning filled with biscuit decorating, making Christmas tree decorations, festive colouring and paperchain creations. It was wonderful to see so many of you wearing your Christmas jumpers that you had made at our workshop.
Christmas Jumper Workshop – December 2024
Thank you to all of our families who attended the Christmas jumper workshops. They showed us how creative our children and parents can be! It was great to see the wonderful designs coming together and the sewing to make them complete. So many of the finished jumpers were modelled by children in school on our Christmas jumper day which was lovely.
Music for the Many – Songs from Home Project – December 2024
Thank you to the parents who took part in the Music for the Many Event – ‘Songs from Home’ project, hosted by Daniel and Dickon. The parents had a great time talking about their favourite songs and artists from their homelands. Some parents also sang their favourite song. It was such a lovely atmosphere and was thoroughly enjoyed by the parents.

Year 2 Parent Lunch – December 2024
The year 2 children had an amazing few days at the parent lunches. They enjoyed getting to have this experience with their parents and being able to share all the wonderful learning and activities they are taking part in. Thank you to all the parents who were able to come!
Diwali Coffee Morning – November 2024
Thank you to everyone who attended our Diwali Coffee Morning. We enjoyed lots of different activities, such as Rangoli pattern making, Diwali cards and even biscuit decorating! It was fantsatic to see so many families come together to celebrate and there was a lovely atmosphere throughout the morning. Thank you to Miss Rakha’s dance group for performing – they were amazing!

Reception Parent Lunch – October 2024
It was lovely to have our reception parents join us for the children’s first parent lunch this week. The children enjoyed choosing and eating their lunch together. Thank you all for coming, we look forward to doing it again soon.

It was lovely to see our reception children show their grandparents around their classrooms during Grandparent Day.
MacMillian Coffee Morning – September 2024
Thank you to everybody who attended our Macmillan Coffee Morning. It was lovely to have so many of our families join us and raise money for such a good cause. A special mention to our wonderful kitchen team who made the tasty treats for us all to enjoy. We raised a fantastic £140.
