We involve parents\/carers in their child\u2019s learning<br \/>\nby:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Using the Seesaw app to produce a \u2018Learning Journey\u2019 throughout the year that records your child\u2019s learning and achievements during school. This enables family<br \/>\nmembers to have a window to their child\u2019s learning, giving families an opportunity to provide encouragement. The use of the built-in translation tools help Seesaw posts<br \/>\ncross language barriers to those who do not have English as their first language. You are encouraged to upload photographs and comments on Seesaw to record<br \/>\nchildren\u2019s achievements out of school. This can support the teacher with assessments.<\/li>\n<li>Offering \u2018Stay and Play\u2019 sessions where children have the opportunity to spend time with their parent\/carer before starting school.<\/li>\n<li>Inviting all parents\/carers to an induction meeting during the term before their child starts school.<\/li>\n<li>Encouraging parents\/carers to attend the termly parental consultation meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Sending a report on your child\u2019s attainment and progress at the end of each school year. Through this, parents and carers are informed of their child\u2019s next steps in development just before each of the consultation evenings. This allows for any discussions to take place during the meeting.<\/li>\n<li>Arranging a range of activities throughout the year that encourage collaboration between child, school and parents\/carers including open days and parent workshops<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity for parents to come in to school once a week and work with child- this is linked to the learning each week.<\/li>\n<li>Providing children with homework. Children will be encouraged to complete regular phonics and maths based tasks and will be given the opportunity to explore and record at home to further the learning done at school.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting parents to access to external services to help you with your child at home.<\/li>\n<li>Providing learning mentor support to parents with issues surrounding their child\u2019s behavior, routines and toilet training.<\/li>\n<li>Sending home phonetically decodable reading books and library books and encouraging parents to make comments in their child\u2019s reading record.<\/li>\n<li>Providing parents with extension and support packs to support their child\u2019s learning at home<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
