We take rigorous steps to ensure that children stay safe and do not come to any harm. We work closely with parents \/ carers and a range of professional external agencies in order to secure this.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you have any concerns, no matter how small they may seem, about the safety or welfare of any child, please contact the school\u2019s\u00a0<u>Designated Lead for Child Protection:<\/u> Mrs Bowling, Mrs Cockroft, Mrs Creighton or Mr Hoyle<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Calderdale Council provide a\u00a0 team who deal with all serious child protection concerns where a child is considered to be at risk of significant harm. The Multi-Agency Screening Team (MAST) receives all incoming cases and carries out initial assessments and core assessments in order to signpost cases to the most appropriate service for them. The service is available to any adult or child who has social care difficulties that are causing a serious risk or concern that cannot be left until the start of the next working day.<\/p>\n<p>The number to contact is the Council\u2019s emergency telephone number \u2013 01422 288000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is safeguarding?<\/strong><br \/>\nParents\/carers and visitors coming on to our school premises, including the playground and inside the buildings, have a duty of care towards the welfare and safety of the children and the adults at the school, this is called safeguarding.
